Cloud based BPM or data centers based BPM part 1

While there are organizations are moving toward cloud-native applications that run on a full-cloud infrastructure, yet there are still organizations that use the more traditional on-premise data centers along with cloud applications in a more hybrid considering their BPM on cloud requirements.
In fact when we asked our panel of experts if their company owned a data center all of the members of our panel replied in the affirmative .
Though most of them acknowledge that they have dramatically reduced their footprint through virtualization and other infrastructure consolidation saving quite a bit on power and cooling. They said that they were not willing to eliminate the entire data center any time soon even though it would save o lot as they were quite content with  a private\hybrid cost model.

But even they were of the opnion that days of hybrid applications were numbered and the future demanded fully-cloud based applications. One of them further added that they had two data centers and only because of that they were able to make it cost effective still, versus the public cloud. Slso, most of these companies ," said Dustin Bolander, CIO of Technology Pointe. "We also do a significant amount of work in [Microsoft] Azure."
